Ninja vs Nutribullet

I'm thinking about upgrading to a Ninja or Nutribullet for my smoothies and shakes and I'd like to know the pros/cons of each. What do you recommend?

Both are great for smoothies but I prefer the Ninja. It has a stronger motor and mixes up smoother smoothies especially if you are using leafy green vegetables.

Are you talking about the full size Ninja kitchen system, or the Nutri-Ninja package? I have the full size (regret it, wish I'd saved for Blendtec or Vitamix) but can't speak to Nutri-Ninja as I haven't tried that one; I do have a NutriBullet though. I like it quite a lot however one thing I have found is you can't really use it to blend hot things, unless you're some kind of hulk - the pressure builds inside as you blend it and then it's virtually impossible to get the blades off (for real I've strained muscles trying, and though I'm no hulk I'm also no weenie).0

Ninjas make ice into almost snow which is perfect for alcoholic drinks.1

I have both and would recommend either. The only small annoying thing with my Nutribullet was that it created a vacuum while blending and I couldn't unscrew it to pour. I had to bang it on the counter a couple times to get it to open. Not overly annoying, but something I always had to do. They both blend well without leaving food bits.0

I love my ninja pulse. I got it for like 60 bucks but I don't think they sell just that anymore. I do have a Nutri bullet deluxe which is 900 W that I have not tried yet. Costco has it on special this month for 69.99

Love my ninja! Super creamy satisfying smoothies. Food processor works great too. Easy clean up.0

I've been very happy with my Ninja blender. I've heard of some horror stories involving pieces breaking on the Nutribullet, but that might be user error.0

I was desperately in love with my Nutribullet Magic Bullet. I used it several times a week to make breakfast smoothies and found it perfect. However, after about 14 months of regular use, the motor died. I mean, I definitely got my money's worth, but I was still pretty bummed.
I tried to buy just a replacement motor/base to save money, but the new base was for some reason much more powerful and constantly unscrewed the lid to the drink, making huge messes. I downgraded to a smaller Nutribullet, which is not nearly as powerful and takes a little more babying, you can't stuff in all the ingredients like you could with the larger Magic Bullet. I'll use it until it dies, but then I'm not sure whether to keep investing in Magic Bullets, or save up and get something super swanky. I don't want to give up my breakfast smoothies--I have a few baked oatmeal dishes which are pretty good, but I love the smoothies, which are so healthy and filling. I hope I can use the smaller Bullet for a few months while I research options and decide whether I should take the plunge and get the really expensive blender.0
