not sure anyone can give you that answer.
it depends on speed height weight gender etc.
the 1800 is total burn for the entire day...so if you want to lose log less calories than 1800 here on MFP. Not sure why adding calories in is required.0 -
I'm 86 kg female 5'9 would you say 16,000 to 20,000 steps is very active or active?0

is that typical? 7 days a week?0 -
Yes I have one day I rest0

I don't know how Fitband does it's calories. It might not be the same. Fitbit includes BMR (calories burned at rest) in it's calculations.
Here's what Fitbit would do (if you can return what you have, you might want to consider Misfit since it will sync with MFP and is cheaper than Fitbit):
You would need to set your profile to maintain and see what MFP thinks you would maintain your current weight.
At around midnight take the tracker's burn and subtract MFP maintenance from it, that would be your extra calories.
or if you want to look throughout the day:- Take MFP's maintenance number and divide by 24. That gets you the approximate calories MFP thinks you will burn per hour.
- Take the burn per hour and divide by 60. That gets you the approximate calories MFP thinks you will burn per min.
- Look at the tracker's calorie burn and the time.
- Figure out how many hours and mins are left in your day.
- Multiply the hours by the number from the first step
- Multiply the mins by the number in the second step
- Add your trackers current burn + number from step 5 + number from step 6 At this point you now have the number MFP is estimating that your tracker would say at midnight....remember this is just based on how a Fitbit works since Fitbit only gives calories in real time (Fitbit even splits BMR into 15 min segments and only adds them to your day after 15 mins have passed)
- Take the number from step 7 and subtract what MFP thinks you would maintain at. This gives you an estimated adjustment that can change throughout the day. You would still need to do option one at the end of the day to get your final adjustment.
^This won't work if your tracker isn't including BMR and doing real time updates of calorie burn. At which point, just set your activity level to Active if you average that many steps in a day.0 -
If you move appx 16k steps everyday without purposeful exercise
Per this article
1) <5000 steps.d (sedentary);
2) 5000-7499 steps.d (low active);
3) 7500-9999 steps.d (somewhat active);
4) > or =10,000-12,499 steps.d (active); and
5) > or =12,500 steps.d (highly active)
that puts you at highly active.
But 1800 total burn doesn't sound like a highly active person. I sat on my butt all day yesterday...except for a 3mile walk and then a couple errands and burned 2000 calories and I am smaller than you.
If your band doesn't sync to MFP then log calories here and your exercise...just make sure your activity level is set correctly.0 -
It only counts my steps calories so 18,000 for my steps it won't sync with mfp so that's why I wasn't sure how to add these exercise calories0

Sorry 1,800 cals burnt from steps it dosnt count bmr0

Then just change your activity level. MFP already includes some calories burned for steps in each of the activity levels.0
