Getting Used to Maintenence

Making the mental leap from, "Oh no, I'm plateauing!" to "Oh good, I'm not losing or gaining" is weirdly difficult. I am getting more lean and defined as per my plan, but without the numbers falling, I have a hard time getting the same emotional rush with success. My resolve isn't wavering or anything, it's just an odd mental transition.

  • i hear you on this. i was told to increase my calorie intake and cut down a bit on my cardio by my PT in order to build muscle and it still sits funny in my head so i know how you are feeling. i can SEE definition coming on my arms and i am definitely stronger but the mental resolve is definitely hard to adjust to

The calorie thing really screws with me, I have a hormone thing where I will gain like crazy unless I am unusually restrictive. Eating any more than 1300 set off all of my panic alarms, I'm so sure that I'm going to blow up because it's always been a brutal uphill battle.
