And so it begins........again!

Hello everyone,
I'm trying again to lose the extra 50lbs I've let myself put back on after losing it 2 years ago for my wedding. I watched it slowly go up and up and up.....and just went into complete bad behavior. I didn't just fall off the wagon....I beat it to pieces with a club, set it on fire and threw the remains off a cliff. I went back to eating a ton of junk food I had long forgotten about and usually never brought into the house. It's like I decided it wasn't fair that I had to watch the things I was eating, and so decided to eat everything! But, no use feeling bad about what I did, time to do something about what I'm doing now. I started at 192.6 lbs and hope to reach 145lbs. I don't need to be uber skinny, I just want to be a healthy weight. I'm 41, and the extra pounds get more and more dangerous with age.
My husband is also trying to take off some extra weight, about 40lbs. I've done it before, and I know I can do it again, and hopefully this time I can keep it off. Having put it back on once, I think it will be easier for me to keep it off this time. I just have to keep paying attention to what I eat. I can do it!

You can do it!
I've found that allowing myself to eat what I want in moderation has helped me to feel less resentful. If I want it - I eat it. I just eat the serving size and move on. A "diet" restricts what you eat - a lifestyle change means eating it, but not gorging.0 -
Welcome, feel free to add me! I'm also trying to get to around 140-145.0

Welcome, and I believe you can do it! I too was once at a "healthy" weight (about 140lbs) and have allowed myself to put on over 40 lbs. I am a firm believer that if we were at the healthy weight once, we can certainly do it again! Feel free to add me; I'd love to encourage you (and hopefully get some in return :-) ) during your journey to a new you!!0

Thanks everyone!
Chevy88grl, That's true, I'm trying to be restrictive during my loss phase, then once I'm at my goal weight I will allow myself the occasional indulgence. I just have to get my mind wrapped around it being a lifestyle, and not a diet.

I weighed 203lbs at my heaviest and was around 175-180lbs when I got super serious about weight loss in April 2010. I weighed in today at 144lbs. YOU CAN DO IT.0 -
Your story is mine, I'm starting over tomorrow, Sunday. I need motivation and encouragement and someone who's bossy to tell me what to do:) Add me if you want. I'd love the accountability.

I'm trying to lose the same amount of weight. Its hard when you are so busy getting in exercise and eating right does not become a priority. I really am hoping I can stick with it and see SOME success by the holidays.0
