Jump Rope in Water?

I was browsing the Speedo site, and ran across a jump rope you can use in water. It caught my attention, because I want to start doing more water exercise. I currently attend a water aerobics class twice a week, and love it. I have knee issues, and sometimes back issues, so I thought perhaps jumping rope in the water would have a lot of benefits and none of the high impact issues that bother me. Does anybody have any experience with water jump roping?

How is that even possible? Wouldn't the water stop the jump rope? Unless there is something about the process that I don't understand.0

The only rope I found on their site was the Aqua Fit 360 Skip, which states that it is used for a warmup pre-swimming workout. It has nothing on it regarding jumping rope in the water. It's part of their Aqua Fit line, which is a conditioning line used to strengthen different muscles you use when you swim...not to be used IN the water. Unless I'm missing something....0 -

I guess that's why I asked....wasn't sure if I was missing something. I asked the question on their web site, so I'll let you guys know what they respond with (if anything!). (And btw, the person smiling under water IS a little creepy!)0
