What are your favorite pre workout snacks to give you lots of energy?

I shoot for pure carbs, but, I also powerlift. So doing 10+ reps isn't my field. But for raw energy and power I go to Twizzlers, gummy bears / worms, or pop tarts.
Not sure what to tell you for sustained fuel for a normal workout. But a balanced diet should be more than sufficient too. Maybe you might even preform better on a empty stomach (fasting workout), and eat after.1 -
Banana gets me through my lifting.2

I usually go for a piece of fruit - usually a banana or an apple. Carbs seem to help me out2
