Hi!
I'm a Tae Kwon Do black belt, 51 years old. Trying to lose about 50 pounds.
I'm am very interested in speaking with other athletes and Martial Artists about training, competition and weight related issues.
I'd really love to have a group of like minded people for support and discussions about our various martial arts.
Hope to hear from you soon! Felicia

I used to train kung fu but only try to keep up with what I've learned intermittently. Haven't been able to go back, had a baby, have a baby chasing me while kicking and punching is challenging, lol.

Was sooo much fun while being the hardest workouts I've ever done at the same time. I tested only once and didn't get very far in learning the next level. Was excited though. Just started training with a staff. Sooo fun.

I found that it transformed my body. I didn't lose weight as much as I lost a lot of fat and gained a lot of muscle evenly all over my body, especially my rear. Loved my legs and rear. Wow. I'm now motivated to practice my tan tuis and smashing fists!!!

I've studied a few forms. I've also had a back injury that allowed me to gain a whole lot of weight. Physically, it is very hard for me to do any of my art forms anymore. Mentally I still remember most of my training. However, there are art forms out there that can be learned no matter what your level of experience, no matter your physical condition. There's one in particular that after I've hit a couple of my milestones, I'm considering doing.

It's called Krav Maga and is quite effective. If you can find a place that teaches it in your area, you may wish to look into that.

You are also welcome to add me as a friend if you wish.
