Best time-efficient workout?

I've had two kids in two years and now I'm fluffy & soft. With two little ones (2 years and 4 months) and a stressful, full-time job (clinical psychologist at a hospital), I need to be efficient with my workout. I do yoga twice a week, but that's really more for mental clarity. I'm working on my diet -- I'm breastfeeding, so I'm starving all the time -- so that's in process, but I'm not sure where to start again working out. Before kids, I would run and lift weights...but I don't belong to a gym anymore (or have time to go). I'm really just hoping to get some suggestions for something I can do at home as efficiently as possible. Thanks!

Check out FitnessBlender.com. They have a good selection of different types of workouts. Invest in some adjustable Dumbbells and/or kettlebells or resistance bands if you can. A bench, rack, bar and plates would be awesome, too, if you have the money/space.1

My question would be: "Can your SO take the kids for an hour a day?" If so, it then leaves you an hour to do whatever workout you like.

Getting equipment is a great idea, thanks!
He can and does take the kids, but I want to make sure what I'm doing is efficient. I guess my question is more where to start. It's been a long time since I've been working out regularly and it feels pretty overwhelming to be starting back at zero...now with less time, less sleep, and way less core strength!0 -
Lifting, for me, is the best bang for my buck.0

if Pre kids you ran and lifted...do that again. Don't just jump in..restart.
I lift heavy 4x a week...takes about 20mins max each time and I walk/run which is about 20-30mins.

High Intensity Interval Training is where it's at. Or tabata. You can build your own circuits or find premade ones (from a book/website you like) or use at home videos (think Cathe Friedrich or Zuzka Light or JM). You can get a good workout with a couple pair of dumbbells and your own body weight. Perhaps acquire some kettlebells or some resistance bands if you want.
You can torch a good 300-400 calories in 30 minutes!1 -

Running and lifting weights sounds good to me. Don't need a gym to run (just shoes and proper clothes). Lifting weights, if you can afford it you can start to buy weight equipment for yourself. Even just a set of adjustable dumbbells would probably be an okay start.0 -
