Too much snacking!

My husband like to snack after workout and dinner!
How can I avoid this - I don't buy and I don't eat it but sometimes I get sucked in! I think this is why I've put weight on. Just enjoying foods too much with my partner!
Anyone else??? Any advice?!

Or if u enjoy that time and want to snack leave calories for ur snack. U cannot have a big dinner and use up all your calories and then want to snack too. One or the other1

Snack on low calorie things like veggies. Carrots, cucumbers and celery are very low in calories.0

Popcorn. You can eat a mountain for little calories if you air pop. I buy the Orville Redenbacher single serve 100 cal packs and it's great because it's still like 4 cups of popcorn so it satisfies the munch urge.0

I'm going to echo "No thanks". While it would be great to ask him not to eat snacks around you or whatnot, food is going to be around you all your life. Learn to say no, stick to your guns. There are times when I have been near the work donuts and inhaled that sugary smell and looked longingly, but then I start thinking how many calories they are, and decide no.
Edit: Ironically I was also thinking that today there were bagels in the break room, and BBQ and salad for a manager's meeting, and man I wanted to dig in. Nope nope nope. Enjoy the smell.0 -

If you don't want to, then...don't. Or if you want to, just don't eat it all. Food is, indeed, delicious and fun to enjoy with others, but if you have goals you're trying to meet and you think snacking too much is hindering your efforts, then perhaps you need to ask yourself if what you're trying to accomplish really all that important to you.0

Yes! Same here! My husband eats chips and candies every night almost. I've learned to say no. It is hard sometimes. But I just think to myself, "I'm going to regret eating that." I repeat that over and over, in my head. Now, I usually don't even want I eat those things with him anymore.0
