Expired Protein Powder

I was wondering how old is too old for protein powder. I have a 60 serving container that I've had just over a year. Should I toss it? Or can I still use it?

I am currently using expired stuff and read all about it. And it's ok.
    BUT... it was unopened.
Was yours opened? Smell it and use judgement. Does it have clumps from moisture? (toss it).
It's expired for over a year or just opened for over a year after it expired?
    - look for tiny buggies, if not, enjoy.

It has been opened. It has no clumps and still smells just like chocolate!

If it doesn't smell bad or taste bad it's fair game in my book.

Is it whey? Usually protien powder lasts way past the date however I have found that somr veggie ones dont last. I had garden of life opened and went bad after about 6 months...try it and see if its good if its gross then toss ...and if we don't see you post again...well we know it wasn't good lol

It is whey. I'm going to go ahead and use it after my work out and I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks all!

Still alive! No stomach issues at all either. I bought it 14 months ago. Hope that helps!

My protein powder is expired as well and I have had no issues.
However, my husband would argue saying my stomach is invincible as I consume expired food all the time and I never have stomach issues.

Ick! Now I can't get the mental image of tiny bugs crawling in my jar of proton powder.
