I've learned after being back in the gym for only two weeks... The key to running/endurance is controlled breathing! Make sure you breathe! The reason it's so easy to stop is because of you don't pay attention, sometimes you find you're kinda holding your breath. At least for me anyways.

    Excellent!

I've recently been training myself on controlled "belly breathing" while jogging.

Initially i would inhale for four steps, and exhale for four. The past couple sessions, i've worked on inhaling for three steps, and forcibly exhaling for two steps. This has seemed to improve my endurance dramatically.

It's wild how small changes to how we breath make huge differences on how our bodies operate!

I agree. Breathing is key. When I pick up the pace I'm a 3 count in, 2 count out person also.

I also find that forcible exhaling helps.
