    Raised in SoCal currently in NorCal. Love Cali. Love this App. Could use some motivation also from the area. Friend me. Lost 30lbs over 3 months. Trying to lose another 5 and then the hard part....maintaining the weight.
    Learning to love exercise but sometimes I lose it...eat lean most of the time.
    52yrs. 5'-10". 178lbs.

    I don't know Oakland too well but the general area is great. You would not be too far from San Francisco so that is a plus. The downside would be the traffic. My brother is from the Santa Rosa area and he's always complaining about the traffic down here.

    Hopefully great things are in your future.

    I'm am in San Diego as well. One of the most perfect places to live. Love this city. Lots of outdoor adventures to help with all kinds of fitness levels. Never a boring day!

    Yes, people go to Oakland. I have a few friends that live in Oakland, and there's a lot to do. But it definitely depends on the Area.

    I'm in the South Bay. There are a lot of things to love about CA and the Bay Area, but sometimes I feel like I'm the only obese person in the whole region.
