Currently 185 pounds at 6'1" male.I'm not fat but still chubby.Would losing 20 lbs (both diet and going to gym) make a profound effect?

It depends on how you carry your weight. For me, it made a huge difference. Considering you're already at a healthy weight, it's possible it will make a big different for you, too.

It could. I lost 15 but can't tell the difference when looking at myself .But were all shaped differently.

i'm 6' and about 175 now but getting into the 165ish zone means a defined 6 pack and visible striations on my arms, lower stomach and a little on my legs. I'd be very surprised if dropping 20 would not make a significant impact.

My advise is to go for it. When you're at a low bodyfat %, bulking is much more fun and motivational since you can notice every ounce of muscle that you gain. Get lean, then get big.

You will look more gaunt, the face always shows first.
