Added swimming...

So I added swimming (4/week for 30 minutes) to start and the scale is being snarky, not showing any weight loss. I am careful on logging and measuring my food. Am I retaining water weight as I have been sore in my torso as a result of the added workout? I know, I know, weight loss is not linear, but I am hoping that this is temporary and if someone has ideas, would love to hear them.

Water retention is a possibility.
Anther thought - are you added exercise calories and eating them all back? Swimming is hard to estimate and I always found the the MFP numbers seemed to be high.

I eat back less than half my exercise calories. Tempting though it is to eat them ALL.0

I don't know any reason swimming would make you retain water. Probably just a fluctuation0
