Making food last longer..

I have found that, personally, i like eating more rather than 'nicer' foods, like cakes etc. I just enjoy eating!!
So, i wanted to find ways to make my brain think i was eating more....making my food last longer.
One thing i have discovered that helps me, obviously it may not be helpful to anyone else....
When im having a sandwich, i dont actually make it into a sandwich
I put all the ingredients on a plate, rather than making it all up. So will have a couple of slices of bread, A little salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato) with dressing, then the ham next to it.
I found if i eat it all seperately like that, it looks like more food and takes longer to eat - brain is tricked.
Hope some one else finds this useful xx

Use a smaller plate so that it looks like more food.0

hmmm, yeah I do most of these things.
But just to warn you I've spent years trying to stop doing them too - they're classic warning signs of problem eating. If you can stop doing them (or not start in the first place!!) it's probably a good idea.0 -
This is actually a pretty good idea that I'll have to try! Thanks for the tip.0
