Why do you have to stay away from chocolate?0

I have chocolate every day, lost 120 pounds and now been maintained it for almost 19 months and still eating it.1

I don't see why you have to cut out chocolate completely. I have one piece a day - and I've lost 41 pounds. I lost 1.8 pounds this week and I had a few pieces of chocolate a day. Moderation is the key. I also usually have one piece of hershey's special dark kiss which is about 20 calories.
If it's something you have to quit cold turkey then look to alternative natural sweet things. When I want something sweet, I reach for strawberries, cantaloupe, or make frozen banana smoothies instead. They definitely are NOT as sweet in the beginning when you're used to high fructose corn syrup and a lot of sweetness. But over time I've found that I now find fruits to be very sweet, and having something processed and sugary to be overly sweet. That took some getting used to for a few months.1 -

Prelog a small portion of chocolate each day and have that as a treat at the end of the day. There's no need to give up chocolate if you enjoy it.0

l'm not sure why you need to find a way to stay away... i get that you miss it, but surely you're only at risk if you actually crave it??
Having said that, when I was a chocolate fiend I would let myself have something that tasted of chocolate every day and incorporated it into my calories.. could be choccie bar, choc cookies, hot chocolate, mousse... I had one thing every day and savoured it. There's no reason you couldn't do that too?0 -
1. Go to chocolate covered Katie's blog.
2. Choose one of her vegan chocolate recipes.
3. enjoy eating something you love as a healthy meal rather than dessert.
4. No guilt.0
