I have been using MFP for about 2 months to track my calories but just now discovered the forums. Here is my story: I've been overweight all of my life. About 8 years ago I went from 280 lbs down to about 235 in 3 months on Atkins. Once I stopped Atkins it slowly came back. I never quite got back to 280 but 2 months ago I weighed in at 270 so I knew I was going to get there if I didn't change my habits. Also right at this time my wife underwent bariatric sleeve surgery so I told her that while I would't be able to lose weight as fast as she is, I did want to get healthy along with her. After 2 months of using this app I am down to 243. I feel great and I want to keep losing weight! My biggest struggle is with portion sizes but this app helps keep me in check. I also just got a treadmill and have been using that a few times a week.
