Heart Rate Monitor not working

So I bought a Polar FT4 way back in 2014 but didn't use it until 2015 (yikes) in January of this year I had to replace the batteries in the watch and so I replaced the one in sensor and now its not picking up my heart rate should just buy a new one or buy a new sensor and strap?

Is it under warranty? When mine broke buying a new strap did nothing. It's most likely the sensor not working. Are batteries in correct? If I recall the sensor is as much as a whole new heart rate monitor. Are you wetting the strap? Good luck.

This link might help, a couple posts down a member shares about the strap and making sure it's washed properly etc.

You might find lots on Google as well, I checked it out and a lot came up on others having their temporarily not picking up their HR.
