Hey MFP-ers :flowerforyou:
My intellectual (and, unexpectedly spiritual) residency in Boston is almost over, I am moving back to France in less than two weeks.
I truly love this community, but I think that for some reason I should get in touch with some French people here
Since the lifestyles and foods are different... and I miss speaking french... ya know what I mean
Have a great night!

Well, I see that "le charme français" is working!!
BTW, how do you find French people? ( I am not technically French - just been living there for 14 years now - so I won't feel very offended  )0 -
The french people I have met I have loved I have never had any problems with the french and find them very friendly, caring and loving people, very polite too - thats just my opinion though Im sure some people have had bad experiences with them but you know I think someone somewhere would have had a problem with someone of some other language - I find the germans to be very rude BUT thats because I have only met rude germans however I ams ure there are lovely friendly ones out there I just havent met them!!!0

I'm not French, but I will absolutely say that I speak French to impress girls. Ever call a girl you've just met "chérie?" It sets a completely different standard.
-wtk
Edit: It's true that German will never be an attractive language, but it is a very interesting one. The Germans did for consonants what the Hawaiians did for vowels.0 -

I find them much like anyone else tbh. More formal in lots of ways than Brits, and less open minded about lots of things, but then you get that in different areas of the UK too, so i dont suppose its french people in general0 -
Well I find that it depends where the french people are from. Most of my friends in the US would say that the French people are rude but that is bc they went to visit Paris... Where people have the reputation to be rude even for other French people!!
But the city where I went for my studies is full of nice, friendly AND open-minded people :drinker:0 -
yes most french people say the same about Parisians lol, i havent been to Paris since i was a child, so i couldnt comment0
