Hi - My name is Sara. I'm a 36 year old mom who has struggled with weight and thyroid issues my entire adult life. In my early 30s I lost around 80lbs through diet and exercise. In the past year I gained 30lbs of that back. I can't work out the way I used to as the result of injuries but I am getting stronger every day. I do a modified Insanity Max 30 every other day, resistance stepper with light hand weights 2-3 days a week, and yoga once a week while monitoring my intake. My regular deficit (counting earned calories) is 300-500 and that works for me. I'm losing weight slowly but also gaining muscle. While I'm down 6lbs so far I have also gained 1/2" on each bicep which I love. MyFitnessPal has been a great tool so far in helping me get closer to my goals and I look forward to participating more in the community boards.
