Try this website, it's easy and gives you some extra info concerning your ideal weight etc.

Your BMR is what your body needs just to stay alive, when you type in your activity level it gives you your TDEE which are your maintenance calories.

Thank you that was very helpful but it said 1181 per day and mfp says 1220??

It's all an estimate, and you have two now that are only 40 calories apart. Pick one and eat at that level for 4 weeks. Losing weight? Adjust up.

i dont think that 1181 or 1220 is your maintenance or you are very short and old.

Ignore calculators, instead rely on your own real world data.

Add 100 calories every two weeks whilst accurately tracking intake and weight trends, ignoring isolated scale jumps.

    Stop when you stop losing.

What is your height and weight? How active are you? Does sound very low for maintenance..

Slowly adjust how many calories you eat and watch the scale; when you are staying the same weight for 2+ weeks you have found your maintenance calories. It might take a month or two, but this is the most accurate method.

What did MFP set you on for maintenance? 1220 seems low...
