I'm trying to build a little bit of muscle I'm 21 4'8 & I weigh 107 lbs. Right now I'm drinking herbalife24 & this is what they told me I should be eating....

Shake in the morning
Am snack
Lunch
Pm snack
& shake again

The snack is usually a protein bar or boiled egg :( I sometimes do fine and then at night I get really hungry & eat whatever I can find lol is this enough for me ? Has anyone else been able to build muscle on herbalife24 ?

You won't build significant muscle eating at a deficit, and I'd imagine using Herbalife, and just eating lunch and two snacks, not knowing how many calories, you likely won't gain muscle. You can gain muscle eating anything, though, so long as you're in a surplus.

Stop wasting your money, eat more. You will lose whatever muscle you already have with what you are eating.

I'd like to see your macros. Please change your Diary Sharing settings to Public: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings

How much weight are you trying to lose total? What did you set your weekly weight loss goal to be? How many calories are you eating per day?

(Other posters - the OP is 4'8" so she'll likely post a smaller number than what we're used to seeing.)

Like other posters have said, it's hard to build muscle in a calorie deficit. You need to have no more than a small deficit, a progressive weight lifting program, and sufficient protein.

What are you doing to build muscle besides drinking the Herbalife kool-aid? I assume you're lifting, because why would you think that drinking shakes would make your muscles grow, but what program are you on?

Ditch the Herballife. The stuff is poo. Eat at a small deficit, lift heavy. Profit.

Lifting heavy things helps you build muscle, not a shake.

    The shakes are quite heavy.

What I just don't understand is why do people who buy Herbalife immediately create MFP accounts and ask the community Herbalife questions? It happens like 10x a day here. I mean why not ask from the person you bought it from? Why do they think MFP is an Herbalife authority? Sorry, I guess I'm confused. :(

you cant trust the people you buy it from.

That doesn't make sense. Why would one buy it from a person they don't trust.

If they sell Herballife they can't be trusted. That's the point I think.

you buy the crap, because you are bombarded by sales people in disguise of a coach.
you come home feeling like you might have been hoodwinked, then you come on mfp and post

Only people who have good things to say about Herbalife are those making money from it or have recently handed over money for it and don't want to feel like they've just wasted it. OP, if that's what they told you to have to build muscle they have lied to you. They should have told you to find a training program that targets your muscles and to eat at a surplus. If all they've said is what you've posted, they've listened to what you've said and then said as little as possible to get your money content in the knowledge you are too naive to know they are lying to you.

How about doing something more productive than herbalife and other junk?

Get off the herbalife *kitten* and don't look for any quick fix.

Shakes don't build muscle, using your muscles does!
