I was curious if anyone knows if its common to weigh less while on your period.... I thought most woman gain weight.. so I kinda wonder if its real weight loss or just my body acting crazy. I guess I just wonder if it's really worth it to keep track of weight during that time of the month.

I can honestly say I feel and look "thiner" a couple of days before my perios gets here.

I agree with this, BUT, I stay away from mid-flow on, because I retain water horribly. Hope this helps.

I dont really see a change much, but in my hands and face during my TOM. Though i drink 3 liters a water a day and i am on a water pill ever other day from my Doctor.

I've been wondering this too... usually I'm a few lbs heavier on my period but I have mine right now and the scale has just been going down everyday. I'm waiting for it to go back up after a few days though but this is really the first time it has happened like this.

It is almost a guarantee that I will gain two pounds during this time. I do quickly lose it so I try not to let it bother me.

I always loose a pound or two right when I start my period. Sometimes I gain it back, sometimes I don't.

My weight can go up and down by 3 or so pounds in one day! Depends on the day and such.

I gain about three to four pounds the few days before it starts, then about halfway through, those pounds disappear.

I always gain 1 or 2 pounds a few days before then lose during the TOM week, but it is just the weight I put on right before.

Usually right before my period, I have a "pre-period drop" on the scale-- often of a couple pounds. I comes back when I start, but it can certainly be a morale booster! I feel "leaner", it's all good. My sister is the same way.. but almost all my friends go up before their periods. Guess we're the lucky ones!
I have also found that when I'm more active and taking better care of myself, my period is significantly shorter, and less substantial. My body has been having the "post baby" period for the last year, ( if you know what I mean...) and since I've been working out, it's gone to 2 days, and there's hardly anything there in comparison. It's certainly incentive to keep active!!

I am ALWAYS thinner and weigh less during my period and seem to be bloated the week after.

I start to bloat about 3 days before my period and gain anywhere from 3-5 lbs during. When it is over everything goes back to normal for 3 weeks. I try not to stress that week since my body is going haywire with everything. I definitely don't weigh less though! LOL
