Women Over 60

Ok...let's get real here! I need to take responsibility for my health and I need to do it now. I'll be 63 soon and here I sit (sit being the key word) overweight, tired, run down, and oh by the way my clothes are tight, real tight! Yes I've been pondering joining weight watchers, thinking about starting on a plan, thinking about going for a walk..and quite frankly wishing for a miracle. Well I'm fairly certain that miracle is not happening today so that bring me to the realization that it's up to me. It's time to JUST DO IT. I am the one that needs to make the miracle happen by taking responsibility for moving more and eating less. So my motto for today is to just get started...stop thinking and start doing. Where are you at with commitment and mindset?

You're the miracle baby! You can absolutely do it :)

My goodness by your photo ID never be able to guess your age, you look great!

I'm pretty solid into my commitment. I'm going to "just do it" (meaning, I know what I need to be doing to be successful) and keep on just doing it until the weight is gone and this lifestyle is my life!

Hi there you guys, I am with you trying to lose weight just like I have been doing on and off the last 40 years. I live in the UK I am 60 years young and have been told by my doctor to lose weight. It seems a bit more important somehow when the doctor tells you. I have just been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in both my knees, so it is important to lose about 21 lbs. I do quite a bit of walking with my springer spaniel, but like yourself, need to stay motivated. Please add me we can do this together.

I am here. I will be 62 in August. I started my journey last November 2015. I have lost 30 pounds and I am 7 pounds away from the high end of my goal weight.

Losing weight when you are oder is slower! Add me as a friend.

i started at 59 when I could barely walk 1/4 mile. This year, I ran nonstop for 30 minutes for my 61st birthday, 138 pounds lighter. I've had a few opportunities to share my story recently. Maybe one of these will inspire someone. Age is no excuse.

I'm 79 (80 in Dec). I've restarted after a 4 mos. hiatus. This time it is for real. Eating right and doing metabolic exercises. Hope this thread stays active because it looks really supportive.
