Hey there :) I joined a Thai boxing class last year and within 3 months had lost 2 stone! Best thing I ever did!

I train both BJJ and kickboxing...but I love kickboxing so much more. It's a great workout, and I'm so focused on getting better that any weight loss is just a pleasant side effect. My goal is to have at least one amateur fight.

Kickboxing story? I once accidentally kicked somebody's elbow while sparring and couldn't walk for 2 days. Lol.

I am a newbie, doing a fast routine (cos I dislike being slow), somehow lost my focus, and kicked my trainer's balls instead haha.

I do kickboxing every couple of weeks and every time I end up sooo sore the next few days! Love it. It's too intense for me to do it more often lol.

I can't follow the moves. I love how much of a workout I get when I can though but I can't follow when you have to do so many different punches or hooks at once I have the same problem with zumba

Omg Jenrainbow1I understand you! The 1st time I popped the video in I was so lost, i wanted to quit! I can say I'm still lost, but I would switch it up and do something until I got it lol! I'm still lost in some, but I know practice makes perfect, I'm sweating way more so I know I'm doing something lol! Don't get discouraged! Maybe it isn't your interest, try and try again and if it still doesn't work out well you might like some other type of workout! I know I'm excited about this kickboxing video right now! And motivation from fellow mfp's is just amazing!

I take a martial arts class 3 times a week. I'm not a very fast learner, but I am progressing - and I am in MUCH better shape! In my class, most of the girls are tougher than the guys. Not necessarily in who could beat up who, but in who will endure the tougher workouts without whining.

Thanks! I did used to like Tae Bo by Billy Banks (or is it Blanks?) but it was on a video tape (yeah, I still have a video tape player, just not many videos now) so it doesn't work anymore. I did try on online once but I needed resistance bands. I could follow Tae Bo -mostly.
I do like how much kickboxing works your body so I might try a beginners one, hoping the video I was doing wasn't beginners now.

I train Muay Thai, Krav Maga, BJJ and CWS (no gi jits). Been training krav for over a year and the others I added roughly 6 months into training. Great workouts. My story...I was training Mauy Thai, I was the pad holder, not paying attention when my coach threw a kick. She didn't hit the pads, she hit my jaw. Luckily, it wasn't one of her hard kicks.

I do Les Mills Body Combat. I love all of the Les Mills formats (choreographed everything, but still pretty intense), but sometimes I do wish I could actually punch or kick something other than air.
