I've substituted eggplant for lasagna noodles, unsweetened applesauce for canola oil in baking receipies, honey instead of sugar where I can, speghetti squash for speghetti and 100 cal flatbread for tortilla when I must have a wrap.
What are other substitutes you've used? Add me!

Zoodles (zucchini) in place of spaghetti is good. Also cauliflower mash or rice in place of potatoes and regular white rice.

I don't 'substitute' anything. If I want a sandwich, I'll have a sandwich. If I want a wrap, I'll have a wrap. If I want pasta, I'll have pasta... I just weigh it out and make it fit. I mean, I love mashed cauliflower but if I'm craving mashed potatoes, that's just not gonna cut it.

But ok, tortilla for tortilla I'll use the 80 calories low carb stuff instead of the 140+ calories tortillas for sure. And I switched to whole grain pasta years ago and actually like those much better now.
