I received an email today about this diet. I know eating several times a day, small portions of course, can help you lose weight but I recevied this message to eat in this manor. Anyone know about eating this way and if so what did you think?

Breakfast: omelet or eggs and turkey sausage (since you are eating
more frequently you need to lessen your serving sizes!!! two eggs and
three links of sausage or a 2-3 egg omelet....etc)

Snack: cheese stick or veggies (no dipping sauce) one piece of fruit
is fine. (hard boiled eggs are GREAT) nuts are great too like almods

Lunch: salad with meat meat meat!

Snack: nuts (dry roasted and/or lightly salted...no added sugar or sauces)

Dinner: meat and green veggies!!! learn to LOVE Broccoli!!

BED

Drinks: unsweetened teas are great!!!!! water water water!!!!
emergen-c is ok!!!! any flavor! crystal light is fine! (NO FRUIT JUICE
OR VEGGIE JUICE!!! NO! NO! NO!)

FOOD IDEAS:
YES: MEAT OF ANY KIND!!! chicken, turkey, steak, pork, eggs, fish
etc!!! yes yes yes!!!!

NO: sauces on your meat!!!! only pepper, salt and seasongings with NO
added sugars or calories!!!!! k? got it!?!?!?hahahaha

YES: NUTS!!!!! GET YOURSELF A BIG OL' SACK OF MIXED NUTS FROM WHOLE
FOODS!!!! DON'T SNACK CONSTANTLY ON THEM THOUGH! one snack is equal to
one handful!!!

YES: FRUIT! one snack is equal to one serving of fruit... one apple,
a handful of grapes....etc

YES: VEGGIES!!!!! (steam them, eat them raw, salt and pepper them up!!
yummy!!!! one of my faves is steamed peas with salt)
NO: CARROTS, POTATOES, CAULIFLOWER

ABSOLUTELY NO: CANDY, SODA, CAFFEINE (this is crucial as it spikes and
then drops your metabolism) if you drink teas make sure they are
bagged tea, unsweetened and no caffeine!!! i mean it!!!! NO BREADS,
RICE, STARCHES OR ANYTHING THAT IS NOT ON MY LISTS ABOVE!!! NO! NO!
NO!!!

we will try this for 30 days and reevaluate how you are doing!!!! i
want you to keep a food log daily of EVERYTHING and even your water
intake. stay hydrated but don;t over do it on the water. it's not
necessary.

if you are feeling low on energy, grab a good b-12 vitamin!!! please
go get some emergen-c!!!! it will give you all your daily vitmains you
need and make water taste better!!!

When I am on track that's how I usually eat anyway: so it's just smart eating in my boook. The only real "trick" or "gimmick" to it is a lack of processed foods and refined carbs and sugar.

And the only thing I drink is usually tea, coffee, or water anyway.

Sounds essentially like what I'm doing now, except I have starchy foods with my protein right after my workout.

Well that's pretty much how i eat, it's a pretty basic low carb diet. It's great if you work out a lot! :D

Just a low-carb plan full of protein and veggies, nothing special, not even original enough in its plan to be called a fad or a specific name other than low-carb.

Ok Thanks everyone. I thought it was nothing special. I actually dieted like this once before but it was laid out by a dietician and carbs were involved. I think this will be a new way for me to eat. Doesnt sound to bad. I know it will work because the metabolism will get reving.

This isn't much of a "diet" but rather what we should be doing anyway. Added sugars are always bad (which is why sauces are forbidden, they also hinder any progress you've made with exercise and eating well) but I like my carbs and they are essential. I just stay away from the useless carbs like bleached flour, processed junk like potato chips and candy but no one can tell me I can't have some homemade whole wheat penne pasta loaded with veggies... and I mean no one! ;)

Sounds a lot like how I eat, it's just high protein and low carb. The only thing I noticed that I would disagree with is that you can add salt to your meat. I watch my sodium intake very closely and only use seasonings like mrs dash with no sodium.
