I have logged every single day for more than 4 years! I am maintaining on ca 2000 calories a day, and even if I'm not as slim as I was 3 years ago, I am still where I want to be and the tracking keeps me here. It's the only way for me. Keep tracking forever

I am only on day 102, but so far I have lost 40 pounds and in my mind I believe that to stay where I want to be I will be logging for the rest of my life. Lets face it, if I was good at mentally self-monitoring, I would never have reached my original high weight. If this is all it takes to be healthy and more comfortable in my own skin for the rest of my life, it's easy. Since being over-weight can take such a mental toll, logging also helps me feel like I am valuing myself everyday. Keep it up! Great job!0

I will add that before I started logging I didn’t know anything about food or dieting. I just ate too much. I didn’t know about BMR or TDEE and I thought exercise equalled food, somehow. «One meal = half hour on treadmill». But oh no, four years down the road I know this: Your diet is king, your exercise is … not king. It doesn’t count. The only thing that will keep your weight low is to eat less and you can never ever burn off all the extra calories. Tracking calories is budgeting a zero-sum budget and if you spend /eat, too much, there is a fat and broke imbalance0
