calorie goal

Is it bad that I don't eat all my calories I am suppose to in a day? I am not trying to do it on purpose. I just dont meet it by the end of the day. I have to admitt though, sometimes I feel like I am eating too much. Is this normal? ANY advice would be helpful! Also, I have lost 8.8 pds in 3 1/2 weeks. Is that too much, too little? Some people are losing that in a week!
