Hello all, for those that have been there. I'm trying to Lower my A1C. I'm 56 yesrs old and I weigh 233 lbs. I haven't taken care of myself and now t need to. Looking for support!!!!!
Since I am financially strapped I had to start using insulin R and N. Which will lower my sugar when I exercise.

Welcome. Are you using FitBit or any tool like that?

Hi there. Good luck in your journey! I lowered my A1C from 14 to 7.3 in 9 months using Metformin, diet, and exercise. You can do it.

I recommend wearing your Fitbit 24/7. I don't know if it's waterproof, probably not. But other than showers, dishes etc. Keep it on. I'm 59 I have a Garmin fitness tracker and am amazed how motivating it is. It reminds me to keep moving and lets me know how I'm doing. I work in an office and am amazed how many steps I get going to the restroom, breakroom, copy room or just down the hall to say hi to someone. I add a few steps on when ever possible. Walk past the restroom to the end of the hall and walk the steps to the 3rd floor. You get the idea. Good luck.
