Soon to be mother of the groom! And in a panic.

Hello I am giving this a shot because we ALL can appreciate support in anything that we desire to be successful in. I need discipline. I feel like that went out the door as I got older because I have some sort of entitlement issue. You know, "I'm too old for that", or "I dieted all my life". Well it's not so! I just want to drop some weight before my son marries in November and just have a more "comfortable" feeling about myself! Wish me luck, or pray for me if you are faithful

Wow may i just say you do not look like a "mother of a groom" at all. You like like you could be the young bride !!! Keep up the good work !1

Same situation here! I'm hoping to find a committed buddy or pal to get through the next 6 months. Are you looking too?1

I have a 25 yo son and he is not married yet. I completely understand why you want to look and feel your best. I need more friends to help me stay motivated. Join me if u like but if not blessings1

Thanks for the compliment escotech2883. Good genes run in the family. I sure could use a buddy trixiegeorge36. I not quite sure how this app works completely yet, so learning a little everyday. I used to be very active in exercising, yoga, biking, running, etc, but back pain and some medical issues set me back a couple of years. I am finding it hard to get motivated again.1

I am the mother of the bride to be.
Mid-October wedding.
I'm so glad to see you post @peppermintpatty97 !!!
I'm feeling this. I want to look and feel great and celebrate with everyone with confidence. Much of the family r very fit runners and I can tell there is this disdain or disrespect or disregard. ..regarding me and my fatness. (A "dis" thing. You pick the word). I just want some love and respect...and I believe that being happy glowing fit healthy is the way to get it. Of course the beautiful happy couple is front and center. The wedding date is just the goal post. I just want to look like I actually belong there... Ha ha.
We have plenty of time to do this.
Add me if you want. I do track meals daily unless I'm out of town with no cell service. I went offline last week (while I was sick with a tummy bug) but mostly I'm here doing this effort daily.

It's SO hard for me to log every single thing everyday. AND, my biggest weakness is chocolate! I am addicted. I don't over indulge, but I know that having some, even in small quantities isn't healthy and is probably the biggest culprit of why I don't lose weight. I probably have (not since I started tracking) some 5 days a week. I am trying to sugar detox right now, went great for a week then I broke down on a gloomy Monday and grabbed a handful of Nestle morsels just to help me get through. Not the end of the world but I tried to make it through 3 weeks! Failed! Start again.
I understand how you feel. My sister in laws are both 80lbs soaking wet. Not looking to get skinny like that by any means. I just want to be comfortable without bulges on the wedding day and feel good about how I look and feel.0
