Using MFP with Striiv Activity Tracker

So I've been using MFP for a few weeks and I got a Striiv band 2 weeks ago to help out.
On the Striiv webpage, it says to set my activity level in MFP to sedentary, but every other tracker I looked at doesn't require this change.
So I'm wondering if anyone else is using this thing or another tracker and has any info on if this right.
The main reason I'm asking is that with my level set to sedentary, MFP gives me about 1700 calories a day, and the Striiv calorie adjustment is half of what it is when I leave my activity level at lightly active ( I work specialty retail and am on my feet all day, walking about 3.5 miles per shift.)
