Too much protein?

Hi all!
I'm pretty new to MFP and I wanted to grab some advice on my goals
I currently weigh 190lbs. I train heavy resistance 3-4 days a week. My goal is to get down to 165lbs, but I want to preserve as much muscle as I can along the way.
So my plan is: eat at a slight deficit (2217 calories) with 35% protein, 35% carb, 30% fat. This puts my protein at 194g daily, which is WAY higher than any others I've seen looking around the message boards?
I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on this!
Am I eating too much protein? Too many calories in general?
