    Yeah, outcast here too, and I have noticed the same thing... Especially with the "pretty" people, look at their freinds lists and everyone pretty much looks the same with maybe a handful of exceptions... Us ugly people don't really have a clique.
    I do have lots of people on my friends list, but most of them don't say much to me, only a few really do, and they never back me up on anything, actually they are more prone to arguing with me LOL

    I honestly like adding people that are a work in progress, whether it's fat loss, body building or maintaining. There are friends that I can learn from and others that maybe I can help. I'm not a cliquish person but it's here, heck it's everywhere!

    I thought I was an outsider, outside of every group there was. I recently expressed that to a girl I went to high school with and she told me that she didn't understand why I felt that way. I fit inside of things just fine. So, sometimes, I think we distance ourselves and put social pressures on ourselves that might not technically exist through other people's eyes.

    It would appear that I'm not immersed into MFP enough. I'm just starting to get friends and I don't stalk their community activity (and I don't believe that they stalk mine). I have other messaging boards that I belong to that I def see the cliques, but I hadn't noticed it here.

But ya there are lots of little cliques and I kindof just float around attach to a few people and keep talking to them till they accept me as a buddy :) yup I'm weird :)

    hmm.. now certain parts of this thread so far has gone into conversations which some can term as being quite "clique-ish"... lol...

    But in response to the original post, I have noticed and I've chosen not to pay much attention cause just like in high school (and throughout my life)... whoever likes me, well, we can get along.. and whoever doesn't, can take a hike! :wink:

    I've never thought of it that way, but it definitely is! I really only used this site through my phone to log the cals and it said it was syncing up with the site. So I try it out and there are some funny AND motivating people out here. In HS I really only hung out with the class clowns (we brought pogs back) and the smarties (ie- how we partied was some trivial pursuit and creating short films about famous authors.) Unknowingly, I've friended people here who are very much like my own few friends. :bigsmile: I dig it.. but i guess my "clique" isn't really the stereotypical cool kids, aquanet, Kathy Santoni, scrunchie wearing types.
