Hi, I am Brenda. I have been on MFP for 2 years. I stopped and then came back a week ago. I lost 70lbs last year when I went to Medi-weightloss. I gained about 20 lbs back. So I want to loose the 20 lbs. I really need help with maintenance when I reach my goal. Any ideas?

Use a food scale and weigh everything. Get good at eyeballing amounts and portion sizes. When you get to your goal weight you can slowly let go of calorie counting. You cannot go back to the way you use to eat. Your calorie intake will be smaller. Become self aware.

Awesome advise. Thank you very much! I have a food scale. Just feel weird using it in public. But I am hoping that I will get more experienced as time goes on.

Hi I'm Monika, I'm 48, I lost 40 pounds about 4 years ago but have gained about 14 pounds over the last year. I usually do the elliptical for about 30 minutes, 5 days a week. I've been stuck at 157-159 for the last 5 months. Really want to get down to 145 by the end of July for vacation.

I feel your pain. I was at 249 last year. I went down to 167. Now I am back up to 185. I am 45 and 6ft tall and want to get back to 167. We bought jet ski's and will be spending a lot of time at the lake. Want to look (& feel) great this summer.

I don't use a food scale in public but I have a good idea what food portions look like. With practice, so will you.

Thanks. I took my scale to work and leave it at my desk. I have another one at home as well. That is good enough I think. I will get better.
