What do you guys think of Progressive VegeGreens and Muscle Tech Platinum Iso Whey? My goal is to lose weight and build muscle. These products are not cheap. However, I've only seen/heard good reviews about both products. Are there other products that would be a better "bang for my buck"? If so, what are they? How much would I save? Where do I get it from?

Personally, I don't consume whey. If you can hit your protein daily goal from real food... then eat real food.

Whey protein is just a means to hit that daily protein intake, period. It doesn't make you skinny, lose weight, or stronger.

Also, it's impossible to lose weight and build muscle at the same time. I suggest you stick with dropping the weight, which in turn will help muscle striations show, which will look, and seem, like you're gaining muscle. But in reality it's just the muscle peaking through fat.

After you hit your goal weight and you're happy with the results focus on building muscle... which you'll need to consume a few hundred calories over maitence ( I suggest 200 if you're new to this).
