Let me 'splain something to you

Men may mansplain, as we apparently agreed to disagree on that point in another thread. I think to be fair, I will 'splain the other side to you:

I love the way men are chivalrous. A man will pause, in our busy society and wait for you to walk to the door/elevator and hold it open.

They seem to make far less passive aggressive comments.

Football. To a lesser extent, basketball, but still pretty awesome.

When there is a tree limb to remove, a roof to fix or otherwise dangerous work to do, they are much more game for it.

Same for gross jobs, like trash removal, plumbing, etc.

I know there are many women who do these things also - no discrimination. I just wanted to express that there are many great, undervalued qualities that I appreciate in those individuals that may also mansplain. Thanks!

I like when I can't open a jar the usually can...and then make a whole big deal about how easy it was.

They're good at changing tires and carrying shopping bags :)

(I do the garbage and home repairs in my house so he's no help with that)

There are wonderful traits of men and women, there are also terrible ones, but I find it to be how an individual is, not due to their sex. A good person is a good person whether they have a penis or not. My husband doesn't do "manly" things, he doesn't enjoy them.
