I'm seriously thinking about doing 30 Day Shred. So far my exercise has been limited to walking/a little jogging. Have any other old (56) out-of-shape geezers done this? And do you have any advice for me?

Hi, I can highly recommend the 30 day shred. I'm on day 2 at the moment but did it last year and got great results. I'm in my 20s but my mum did it with me last year (at 50) and she really liked it. Some of the moves have a modified version to make it a little easier for beginners (which I definitely take full advantage of in the first few days!), and you can always substitute something if you need to (mum did squats in place of lunges as they hurt her knees). Let me know how you get on if you decide to give it a go :)

Too high impact for me. Take days off, recover. Good squat & lunge form is critical.

I like this low impact circuit workout instead (Chris Freytag is so encouraging):
