So I am starting nursing school in a couple of weeks which puts me out of the house Monday through Friday all day, meaning I am either going to have to pack a lunch or gain tons of weight eating out everyday. So what are some ideas for packing lunches??

quinoa salad--boil your quinoa and then add whatever you like--I mix in left over veggies, a touch of olive oil, and crumbles goat cheese. I make a batch every sunday and take it to work all week. It's good hot or cold--yum!0

I just started packing my lunches since I am nannying full time. I pack the following: oikos vanilla greek yogurt, pure protein-chocolate deluxe bar, blueberries (or any fruit I have), banana, half of an english muffin and 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, string cheese or laughing cow cheese wedges and special k crackers.0

I'm only a calorie counter, but....I pack Healthy Choice soups (Chicken Tortilla - 280 cal, Chicken Noodle - 180), Starkist Tuna Kits (comes with a package of tuna, 6 round crackers, and a mint - 200 calories), bags of chips (individual bags for portion control - 140 calorie Harvest Sun multigrain bags), Lean Pockets (Hot Ham & Cheese / Philly Cheese - 270 cal). The first 3 are all the time, the lean pockets are occasionals.0

Time is my enemy...so once a week I cook a huge batch of something - a turkey breast, baked chicken etc. Then I can eat all week.
I love to take: Veggies with a piece of chicken, a chicken salad, cowoy cavier with a chicken breast, etc. Whatever you make for dinner - just make enough for lunch the next day and you'll be set. Carry some protein bars and a bag of baby carrots for those times you get the munchies...then you won't buy the kind of stuff that can make you gain weight!
Good luck and congrats on going to nursing school!0 -

I am also a student and I prefer to take a big bag of snacks with me rather than some sort of lunch-meal. That way I get less ravenous waiting for lunch time and I don't binge on vending machine chips when I smell everyone else's classtime snacks. I bring fruit, veggies, almonds, granola bars, and the like.0

I'm a nursing student too and I have really busy days! I pack fruit in Tupperware containers, peanut butter sandwiches on sandwich thins, homemade trail mix of cereal, nuts, raisins, etc. If you invest in a real lunchbox and Ziploc/Tupperware containers, you can pack yogurt, salads with dressings, etc!0

I packed my lunch a lot when working this summer and liked having a morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack in case I got hungry and wasn't able to leave to go home.
Snacks: apples, greek yogurt and fruit, small serving of almonds, grapes, carrots and/or green peppers with hummus or tzatziki sauce, cheese strings, granola bar (hard to find ones with low sugar though, I think Kashi trail mix isn't bad).
For lunches I would pack sandwiches (egg, or mixed veggies.. cucumber, tomato, cheese, pickle, lettuce, but would cut up and build just before I was going to eat it so it wasn't soggy haha), salad, wraps. Some nights I would purposely make a larger portion for supper in order to pack for my lunch too.0 -
A sandwich thin w/ lean turkey is my lunch everyday! I sometimes add some baby carrots, grapes, or the fat free pringles... I add some lite chipotle mayo to my sandwich to give it a litte kick too!0
