Tracking exercise - question

My iPhone is set up to track my steps which is the link to my fitness pal so I'm getting some exercise credit for the steps I take through the day. I also have an app on my phone called map my fitness (I think) that allows me to track workouts which is also linked to my fitness pal. My question is if I walk or run for a workout and I track that work out, and I doubling up on the credit I'm giving myself within the my fitness pal app? I want to track my calories pretty closely and I don't want to feel like I'm cheating. What are your thoughts?

IMO, Don't link map my run to MFP. Sometimes it overestimates the calorie burn by hundreds. Just add the calorie burn in manually so you don't end up doubling your exercise burn.0
