i live in BC and it's been absolutely amazing to see how many companies, and individual humans, are doing so much to help these displaced people! the outpouring of support, money, supplies, is downright beautiful. people in nearby communities are oven offering up empty rental houses and such for people to stay in. I'm not sure I've ever been quite so proud of my country. and yes the firefighters are beyond amazing. working 30 hours straight? unbelievable.6

Yes and please remember if you want to Donate The Red Cross is accepting donations and the federal government is matching it. Goods-ie household supplies, furniture, used clothing, toys are NOT needed at this time. It may be quite awhile(like months) before folks are back into their homes or new homes2

Yes, and most people are insured for their house and content, so they will evenually be indemnified. The challenge is now is more to deal with emergency needs, and this is why donations should be made cash - and ask authorities and official organization before sending anything else.
Good luck to all.

$29 million received by the Red Cross so far - doesn't include government matching funds. Amazing.0
