I always do my preps on Sundays.

This week I plan on making a faux Chipotle burrito bowl.

    1/2 cup of jasmine rice
    5 ounces of protein
    1/8 cup of black beans
    peppers and onions
    shredded lettuce
    1/4 cup of salsa
    1/8 cup of corn
    1 ounce of avocado
potentially just a little bit of cheese

I always do this. Last week I made a batch of baked oatmeal (8 servings), beans and rice (6 servings)s, and roasted root veggies (6 servings). This Sunday I'm making a tomato and spinach pasta dish (5 servings) and smoky sweet potatoes (5 servings). I love doing this on Sundays, because I don't have anything else going on in my life to rush me. During the week I work until 4, then have a 90-minute workout. On Saturdays I screw around and do whatever I want. Sundays I have yoga in the morning, a trip to the grocery, a workout, and then I can spend the afternoon making my week's meals. I can take my time and wash thoroughly, chop/mince the veg so it's absolutely perfect, and carefully weigh each ingredient so I get my calories as accurate as possible. It's so much easier to come home from work on a Thursday, do a 5k, get a shower, and microwave some leftovers for dinner. I don't want to spend my little free time during the week cooking or weighing or trying to eyeball portions.

I do mini-sessions. Sunday I prep for Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday I prep for Wednesday and Thursday. On Thursday I prep for Friday. I would love to knock it all in to one day (Sunday), but this is what works for me, plus Im doing it for my Hubbs and daughter too, so this is manageable. On prep nights, I have crockpot meals, so I do not get overwhelmed. :)

The only thing I bulk cook for the week is my quinoa and brown rice that I take for lunches. when I make dinner, I usually cook enough extra meat or fish or poultry to pack for lunch the next day...usually the veg too, and then I just have to add the quinoa or rice. I make my breakfasts the night before.

I will do some bulk cooking this weekend, but I haven't planned exactly what yet. I will probably slow cooker a big batch of Chicken for my lunches next week, some kind of casserole for my husbands lunches, and I will be prepping cucumbers to start taking for snacks (will be trying to replace slim fast shakes with veggies next week), and I need to cook up about 18 eggs :) also for snacks!

I usually prep breakfast and lunch for my husband and I. Here are the meals:
4 servings of peanut butter and banana overnight oats
    1 kale and bacon frittata
    4 serving of Thai salad
4 servings of curry chicken salad

I always cook my veggies and protein for the week since the rest of my food is prepackaged

I usually bulk cook some a grain (barley this time, I keep a bunch of different stuff in my cabinet and rotate), beans (going through a bag of red kidney atm), lentils and my dinners during the week. Lunch and breakfast are quick to prepare.

I plan on making that cabbage stew someone on the recipe forums posted a few weeks ago.

I will prep a couple pans of different roasted veggies, baked sweet potatoes, grill a bunch of meat, and make some sort of eggy veggie bake. I'll also make some sort of crock pot thing on sunday so that I don't finish prep and then have to think about dinner.

I usually food prep on Sunday. Sometimes it happens on Monday and I hate that because I like being able to start off my week with everything ready to go. Usually I'll make 6 hardboiled eggs, cook chicken breast and then do some sort of breakfast, like overnight oats for a few days or a spinach quiche. Then my go to snack has been a gluten free peanut butter cookie recipe I found. I decided to quit making them for a bit though be cause I am addicted.

I do a couple of mini prep sessions. On Sunday's I make omlettes for breakfasts for the week and have something going in the crock pot for suppers. Either a chicken, roast beef or pork shoulder. That lasts a couple of days. Tuewday, Wednesday, Thursday I always cook something. Then on Thursdays or Friday's I make a big batch of chili, taco meat, casseroles etc to eat for the weekend. Whatever doesn't get eaten gets put in the freezer.
It's so much easier knowing I already have food ready to eat!
