Welp, I'm Giving This a Shot!....Again

I don't know if my motivation is just crap, but this is probably the fifth time I've checked into the MFP world. The last time I did this and was really serious about it, I lost 30 pounds in only a few months. POOR IDEA. I didn't eat right, exercised too much, and gained all of it back, plus a few pounds, over the course of a year. It's not a good idea to deny yourself those small treats every once in a while, so don't do it. No sense in starving yourself. This is a lifestyle change! It's not something that's going to end in a few months or years. So, here I am, again, giving this another shot. Since November, I've lost 40 pounds (without using MFP). In the past two months, I've hit the wall and gained 5 of it back. I have gallbladder issues which keeps me from eating most meat and anything greasy, so I really need to be able to track my food intake anyway to know what triggers my attacks and what keeps me feeling good.

Say hello and send me a request! Networking in weight loss is great for motivation. It'll keep me wanting to log in everyday!

Hey, welcome back! I'm also back to MFP again... Totally agree with all the stuff you're saying here! Sounds like you've got a really good attitude this time, so hopefully you'll be able to stick to it!

I'm 34 days in (again). This time around, I'm not beating myself up over messing up my macros or whatever. I'm committed to simply logging everything I eat and giving it an honest look at the end of the day. So basically MFP is just a food journal, not a weight loss tool. I'm a much happier person for it, frankly, and I've noticed some subtle changes in my behaviors. 2 lbs lost. At least nothing gained, right?

    Good luck.
