I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

This is the motto I need to keep repeating to myself. I started my newest weight loss journey in February. Two years ago I had lost 90 lbs. I slowly had gained back 30, and refused to continue that path, so I jumped back into being healthy. I started with just healthy eating and calorie counting per my doctors suggestion, with monthly visits to the doctor for weigh ins. The first month I lost 10, and the second month I lost 5. In April I started an exercise program recommended by my nurse. The program comes with a 4 week schedule you can follow as suggested to see results. They suggest you take measurements and before and after pictures. I decided to try it. Today was my last day. I followed the program, doing more than suggested, only missing one and a half days of exercise, and occasionally adding in more strenuous videos since I was beginning to really have to push myself on some of the easier videos to feel any sort of burn. I worked myself into a drenched sweat every morning and Continued on my 1200-1300 calorie diet. I noticed more strength in my body, but.... I only lost 4.4 lbs in one month!!!! (I started at 227), and only lost a total of 6.5 inches! Yes, I lost, and I know that is good, but grrrrr... I feel like it should have been more than that! I may not be there yet.......

It takes time, 4.4lbs in a month is nothing to knock down! Hormones, lack of bowel movements, water weight, all kinds of things may change the scale away from your favor. For instance, today I am 116.4lbs [just got off the scale]. This morning I was 117.8lbs. Yesterday, I was 120lbs even. I've been hovering around 120lbs, or just under [119.8lbs, etc], but I finally had my 'woosh'.
Before I got my Mirena implanted, it was terrible. My weight wouldn't budge until my period happened, then 5lbs would woosh at once. 5lbs seems like much more when you check every day [used to log it every day to see my fluctuations], and it has been remaining the same all month. So what if it isn't 2lbs/week? You are still losing, and you are rockin' it.
Started 200lbs, currently 116.4lbs.1 -
