Hello, I say I am a newbie but I did sign up in 2014 but didn't see this through. Ended up in the hospital about 3 weeks ago with heart attack symptoms. Thankfully, that was not the case but after a 4-day stay and lots of testing I discovered I have some blockages. This was a big scare for me. Went in for a cath with the realization that I may end up having to have emergency open heart surgery. Frightening to say the least.
That was a little over three weeks ago and I have started changng my lifestyle. My diet has completely changed. Eating 3 times a day, most days with two snacks and lots of water. I cut out the cokes and have started.to be more active.
When I weighed in in 2014, I weighed 355 pounds. At the hospital, I weighed 342. I am not weighing myself until 5 weeks have passed. I am using My Fitness Pal to guide me in my journey.
Thankfully, my husband is on board with the lifestyle change. He only needs to lose about 40 lbs., and he wants to have a healthy, active lifestyle. He also is using this app.

I lost over 80 pounds once, but gained it back and then some. I did it the right way then and I must say it was really.my only sincere attempt at weight loss. It is doable.
Glad to be here. Glad to share in the experience. I am coming for my own accountability and to share stories.
