Here's the situation..... I've been losing the weight in a satisfactory way, but now I'd like to gain some mass. I am not at all a big eater, therefore my calorie intake is low. I mostly eat chicken and eggs every day, but I'm looking for something new and affordable.
What do you suggest nutritionally to maximize gains for a small guy on a budget?

A chocolate milk after a workout is solid if you don't have any protein powder and want to raise your calorie intake.2

I suppose I should have mentioned that obviously doing that.
Not eat at a deficit. You have to eat at least at maintenance or, preferably, a surplus to gain mass unless you are still considered overweight or obese. You need the extra calories to facilitate protein synthesis and muscle growth. Cut back on cardio and hope you have good genetics.
