My friends deleted me during my fallout :(

I need some more friend that will stick with me even if I fallout for a month... (that's what happened). Due to finances, I have only been able to afford fast food so I have been ashamed to track anything. I don't even know what I weigh right now, I don't have a scale. I thought this would be a good chance to dive back into this site since I have kicked my facebook addiction. I might be around 255 and want to go down to 145 so I need some buddies for the long journey!!

Fast food is way more expensive than 'real' food.
I'm going to add you, and bug the crap out of you to eat better.0 -
If you do it right, eating healthy is a lot CHEAPER than fast food. I've got some yummy cheap and easy recipes (obviously healthy ones lol) if you want or need them. I added you... you just gotta have the willpower to stick with it... that's what this is all about!0

No shame in eating fast food. If you look up the calories on here before you go (or if you have the app on a phone), you can make a more informed decision and control the damage. But plz add me! I never get rid of any friends.0

Just keep logging no matter what you eat. Remember that you only have to be accountable to yourself and you have every right keep your diary private if you want to. And it doesn't matter if you have a scale or not - I bet you have a belt or ribbon that you can put around your waist and mark each week. It really dosen't matter what the numbers, you just want the size to be getting less not more!
It sounds like money is tight, so I'd suggest searching the forum to find some of the many threads on healthy food on a budget. I'm sure that you can find stuff that is much better for you and will save you money, compared to eating fast food. I know it's cheap but you really aren't getting much nutrition when you eat it.0 -

Ditto! Feel free to add! I don't delete for absences. I just want to offer support and healthful thoughts.0 -
Keep logging, don't hide it. You want it right in front of you everyday.
I use to delete folks for that. Since I've had a change of heart. I feel no matter the situation, other than rudeness, they still need a moral boost.
Good luck on your journey.0 -
I had the same thing, sort of, happen. I've been maintaining but not logging in for some time - too much crap was going on in my life. Returned and half the people I had on here had deleted me without warning. Ah well, picking back up where I left off. I'll add you, but, you'll be hearing it from me if you're not logging in :P We've got to keep ourselves honest and log no matter what we eat. Commitment is key!0

If you need help with budget eating, I feel like I'm a pro in that area. Only get about 300 a month to feed 5 people. On top of that we're all celiacs so it can get spendy real quick.0

Totally agree with fast food being more expensive than healthy food...in more ways than one. But, obviously you know the health cost or you wouldn't be here lol. I have some experience eating cheap being a vegan and in college...and sometimes I'm just plain lazy lol. Always get seasonal produce; it's cheaper. And most grocery stores have some salad mixes and steam-able veggies on sale or clearance. Dry beans, rice, and even canned veggies(no salt added if possible) can be really cheap and easy to make.
You can add me if you want. I know it's useful to have supportive people to keep you on track...be they harsh or gentle. ^_^0 -

Think of it like this - if you spend $8 on a fast food lunch, you could have bought 2 lunches for food you ate at home. I went from eating $7-10 fast food lunches daily to eating about $3-4 worth of food I brought in to work - Healthy Choice soups, Starkist tuna lunch kits, single-serving bags of chips (Sun Harvest multigrain singles), Lean Pockets, etc.0 -
Hi there and welcome back, I am so sorry you had that trouble,
I can assure you that there are plenty of people here, that will be supportive,
most people understand that this is a real struggle, and we should not give
up on one another and instead, lift someone's spirits and try to get them
over the hump.
So please feel free to add someone that will always be there to help you!0 -
You should check to see if there is a farmers market near you! So much produce for so little mula! I also found a bag of boneless skinless chicken breast at walmart that lasted me for about a month but then again I can eat chicken just about every day and not get tired of it.0

I agree with this post!!! You're hurting yourself in your body and wallet by eating rubbish, this is hard to hear but the truth. I've been there with the takeaway pizza habit!!! Add me if you like xx0 -
I agree with all of the posts stating that fast food is more expensive than real food. That being said..you also have to plan..which sometimes is very hard to do. But you can do it!! Sit down once a week and figure out what you should eat..a menu...and then make a grocery list. You can still grab food and go..it doesn't have to be "fast food". I constantly am grabbing on the go..a quick sandwich...apples, bananas..baggie some dry cereal, pretzel sticks, grapes, blueberries, etc. The key is planning...sometimes I totally despise it..but when I fail to do it...I fall apart. You can do this!! Feel free to add me!
Hugs!0
