Cutting calories, about how much should I lose?

Hello. So for the most part I believe my body is in the correct weight range. I am a female, 5'0" tall, 108 lbs. Moderate exercise, mostly strength with 1-2 rest days a week. I am looking to lose about 5-6 pounds. If I cut about 400-500 calories from my current intake, how much weight could I expect to lose a week? Thanks!

If your body is the correct weight range then why do you want to lose weight? Won't you end up under weight?
I was overweight and I've been eating about 500 calories less losing 2 pound a week.
I supsse you could easily lose the 5-6 pounds in a month
Just make sure it' healthy for you to do so

Theoretically that calorific deficit should put you in the 1lb per week range. But, weight loss is not linear and you may see more, less, or none in the first week (but over time these variation should even out to give a steady loss).

But, at your weight and height you may need to consider a lesser deficit and therefore a slower loss - at lower body fat many people seem to have better results taking a slow approach.

when you're at a healthy weight, which you are, 500 cal deficit a day is a bit agressive. Aim for 250 cals deficit a day to lose 1/2lb a week.

It sounds like you're in a great sport in terms of weight. I would shift focus to getting leaner, not necessarily lighter. Eat at a maintenance calorie level and work hard in exercise (preferably resistance training) and you'll improve your body composition over time. You can start adding muscle as you reduce body fat. Like you said, you're at a great weight.
