Nope, haven't noticed. However, I've never been a "clique" type girl. Don't care what others think of me most of the time, not good at being a "sidekick" either. You like me, great. You don't like me, great! Que sera, sera. :flowerforyou:

High school was rough for me...I was in band but never felt like I fit in. I was always the joiner girl. College was a little more my style. :) Now I just don't care what other people think. I can see the cliques at my work...even in my department, and I wonder what they're thinking. Conforming because someone else says you should drives me crazy...because that's when I go the opposite way.

Maybe I haven't been on MFP long enough, but I think everyone is pretty open to supporting everyone, not just people on their "list". Or it could me my wishful thinking...

I think as humans if we dare to be different life would be so much more interesting! Too many of us (maybe not us) are so easily seduced into the cult of conformity... I try to show my son (17) that being different is not such a bad thing..whether its in High School, at home, or at the workplace... If we learn to accept and embrace each other's differences, we would realise how much better we feel about ourselves.

As people, we like to belong to groups. It's just part of how we work. Even extreme introverts like socialization in certain situations.

Agree! and we are naturally drawn to others that have the same interests or the same things going on in our lives.

Ho ho! MFP is far more dramatic for me than High School (or Facebook!) ever was. Maybe cuz I can't self-medicate in the bathroom and now my cheerleading uniform brings about tears of mourning for a figure lost and unappreciated. LOL!

Totally agree with the "mourning for a figure lost and unappreciated". Why didn't we realize how good we looked back then?

As long as people don't start acting like they are in bloody high school.... all is good, otherwise, time to find a new weight loss website lol
