Body transformation likely if you don't have much to lose?

This might sound like a silly question. But will I see a big difference with a 30-35lb weight loss? I am 5'7 (female) and 165lbs (75kg) and my weight loss target is to lose about 30-35 lbs and get down to 130lbs (60kg). I've gone down to 70kg before (from 78kg) and saw no difference whatsoever sadly.

If it helps, my problem area is my belly which measures around 40inches, as well as my upper arms which are 14. So I'm wondering if I will have to lose more than 30lbs to see them get smaller

Well, everyone is different and your mileage is going to vary, but I'm 5'4" and over the past year I've gone from 162 to 129 and it's a huge difference on me. Although my stomach and thighs are still holding on to some fat that I'm working on getting rid of, they're still much smaller than they were before and I've dropped 3 pants sizes. My arms are noticeably leaner as well.

I haven't been taking measurements as I've gone along but looking at photos from before I lost weight is startling, especially since I thought I looked pretty okay before!

30 lbs is a big difference on a 5'7" woman at 165lbs. Add in some resistance training to work on maintaining lean body mass and you'll really see a different in not just weight lost but body composition.

30lbs is a big difference. There was huge difference from when I was 200 to when I was 170 and from when I was 170 to 135

I'm 5'7" and started this at 155. I've seen a big difference in just 7 lbs. I've been strength training too, and I think that's been the main factor in appearance change.

You'll see a difference for sure. Take photos of your progress! I lost only 14 and I feel like I've come a long way!
